Queen Of Hills

Tea Estate

Yup I had been to the Queen of hills……Ooty, just a day after my b-day. It’s such a beautiful place with so much nature and greenery everywhere. We just planned that we are going to Ooty and off we went to Ooty.

Ooty is just 150 km s from Mysore. One of the main reasons I like Mysore is coz of its location, lot of tourist places are near to Mysore, it’s a centre place if people are planning to travel specially if u like nature then 1st come to Mysore (stay in our Hotel : D), there are lot of places to see in and around which Mysore .

Sunday morning at 7 we left to Ooty. On the way after about 60 km, there is a coffee day we stopped and had coffee. Then after some 20 Km there is a restaurant, Udupi Upachar we had our breakfast there. After few km we entered the Bandipur Forest area of Karnataka. I was scared in the beginning coz every where there were boards like ‘Tiger zone, Elephant crossing zone’ n all, later I was ok, we saw lot of Peacocks, Deer’s , different type of monkeys ..lol.

Law's Falls

We reached Ooty at 9.45 am, I was like, so soon n we are not even tired of traveling. Then we checked in to a hotel, freshened up and off we went to Conoor 1st. We saw many places in conoor like Dolphin nose, Lambs Rock, Green valley , Sims garden, Law's falls , we were done with all these places by 3 pm. All the places were mainly for Scenery, but in Sims garden there were plants and trees from different parts of the world. After we were done with Conoor we left for Ooty.

We reached Ooty by 4 pm, had lunch, freshened up and left for Botanical garden. Ha!! it was becoming cold and cold and colder, so we just saw how much we could and returned to the hotel on the way we bought Chocolates, then went to the restaurant had dinner and hit the sack, we were just soooo tired.

Ooty Town, view from Dodhabetta

Then next day we got up early had breakfast, then off we went to the Dodhabetta it was the best place in Ooty, loved it a lot, it was very misty and cold. We saw most of the places in and around Ooty, we had very less time, so we just squeezed in as many places possible. Then we checked out, and left for Mysore on the way we saw Pykara dam. Then again driving into Mudumalai Forest area of the Tamil Nadu was good and scary. It was one great trip with lot of humorous situations, I enjoyed it to the core. I think ooty is even more enjoyable when couples go on Honeymoon :D.

Entering Karnataka after the trip.
